Our Litters at Stillwaters
A Thoughtful BeginningCV
We do not raise puppies often, and we do not raise them casually.
Each litter at Stillwaters is planned with care-considering temperament, instinct, and the kind of life these dogs are meant to live. Our goal is not to produce puppies, but to steward the next generation of calm, capable companions.
When we raise a litter, it is because the timing, the pairing, and the purpose align.
Raised Within the Rhythm of Home
Our puppies are born and raised within the daily life of our homestead.
They are handled gently and consistently.
They experience the presence of other animals, children, and routine environment.
They are not isolated or overstimulated.
They are allowed to grow steadily, learning calm and confidence through proximity rather than pressure.
Temperament Comes First
At Stillwaters, temperament is never secondary.
We value dogs who are:
* Calm in the home
* Alert in the pasture
* Naturally protective without reactivity
* Sensitive to emotion and environment
These qualities are shaped as much by early experience as by breeding and we take both seriously.
Placement with Intention
We place our puppies thoughtfully.
We take time to learn about prospective homes and match puppies based on temperament, lifestyle, and setting.
A Stillwaters dog is a long-term presence.
Placement is part of our responsibility.
