Gunnar, has rounded out Flicka’s quick movements so well! He is our thoughtful companion dog. He is nearly always at our side when we step out of the house, whether it be day or night! Not that wet-nose-in-the-hand sort of way, but he likes to accompany us wherever we go.

Flicka is everything I wanted in a dog.  As a puppy, she would lay on the front porch if there was no work to be done, undemanding and sweet. With her ears neatly pricked up, she would scan the sky for any hawks that might threaten the chickens while keeping an eye on the coop at the edge of the woods near the house. As an adult, she continues to keep a watchful eye on everything on the homestead.  She is very quick to look my way when I step out the door waiting to see if I have a job for her.  Otherwise, she is still content to lay on the front porch.

Bonnie joined us as a puppy.  She has always been the quiet one, willing to submit to whatever the other dogs wanted.  She is definitely the dog that we find quietly by our side!  Now, as a mom herself, her puppies are carrying on her classic genetics from the 4J Acres Collies.

Cherokee is a half-sister to Flicka.  She was a sparkly-eyed little puppy from the start and has proven herself to be an affectionate adult.

Cherokee is a great playmate for the younger set.  She enjoys playing fetch with us and loves to "Steal the Stick" from the other dogs.  She is so fast that they can't catch her!

Docie is a beautiful blue merle from our own Cherokee line.  She is a fun loving and affectionate girl who loves to go on walks. We are looking forward to her first litter of puppies expected late summer of 2026.  Docie has been bred to Windspun's Mission, whose perfect Embark panel complements our commitment to preserving healthy, well-rounded Old-Time Scotch Collies.
