About Stillwaters Heritage Farm - Preserving the Old-Time Scotch Collie Legacy
Breeding with Purpose
Stillwaters Heritage Farm is more than a place - it's a mission.
On our quiet Indiana homestead, we raise Old-Time Scotch Collies with the goal of preserving their rare qualities for generations to come. Every litter is part of a bigger story - one of heritage, heart, and hope for the future of this exceptional breed.

Preservation with a Purpose
Once, the Old-Time Scotch Collie was a fixture on many small farms in America - a steadfast worker, gentle family companion, and watchful guardian. Over time, they nearly vanished.
We are committed to reversing that trend by breeding from historically significant bloodlines like 4J Acres, Gravehaven, and Silver Dollar, focusing on health, temperament, and the instincts that made this dog beloved for centuries.
When you bring home one of our collies, you're not just bringing home a dog - you're joining a preservation effort that stretched far beyond your own home.
Faithful Companions for Generations
Our collies aren't just beautiful; they are deeply bonded to their people, intuitive, and eager to please. Meet Copper, our first Scotch Collie and our boys' capable helper and loyal friend. He taught us how valuable the Scotch Collie was on the farm: from catching chickens to putting our ornery milk cow back in her place, Copper was the dog for the job. Wow! I could write a book entitled, Homesteading Made Easy with the Right Dog! (Okay, Easier!) Do you want to keep deer, coons, and moles out of your garden? How about the fox, snakes or skunks out of the henhouse? Then you need a Scotch Collie!
Scotch Collies, A Friend For Life
Whether you want a hiking buddy or dependable service dog, faithful farmhand and beloved family pet, you will find our Scotch Collies very adaptable to you, at home or on the homestead!

Meet the People Behind the Farm
At Stillwaters Heritage Farm our family of nine work together to keep our small farm going. Every day we live alongside our collies - feeding training, and caring for them as part of our homestead life. Our children help socialize each puppy along with friends and neighbors that stop in for a visit. We want to make sure they leave our home well-adjusted to family living.
We never would have guessed that we would become a breeder, but having experienced the Scotch Collie's intuitiveness and natural off-switch for which they are known, their “Energy-on-Tap” as one person described it, and the many ways they have made life easier on our little farm, a desire grew to give others the same opportunity that we had: to have their very own Old-Time Scotch Collie!
